About The Position

The Assistant Buyer on Fashion Nova’s Women’s team supports the Buying teams by analyzing data and assessing market trends to help ensure customers have access to current styles. The role owns assigned categories, identifying products that should be reordered and supporting decisions on cost and quality. It also involves working with vendors, planning, and purchase-order systems to manage product availability, inventory flow, and sales performance.

Requirements

• More than one year of experience in replenishment, data analysis, or a similar field.
• Experience analyzing data and providing actionable insights.
• Excel experience, including complex functions such as SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
• Passion for fashion and trend analysis.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience in financial analysis or a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vendor relationships to secure the best possible delivery, cost, and quality.
• Communicate with vendors about item availability, in-stock units by size, other color offerings, incoming stock, pre-orders by size and delivery date, custom cut dates, and minimum order quantities.
• Present recommendations to Planning for approval.
• Enter purchase orders into the system and upload orders.
• Analyze and forecast product performance and inventory levels using historical data and trends to inform what and how much to reorder.
• Monitor program buys and core items to manage product flow.
• Recommend promotional activity to drive additional sales volume.
• Stay current with fashion market trends and emerging best practices in merchandising and buying.
