About The Position

As an Assistant Branch Manager at FAIRWINDS Credit Union's Ormond Beach branch, you will play a crucial role in helping members achieve financial freedom. This position involves fostering a positive, coaching-focused environment to develop your team and meet service, lending, and product penetration goals. You will also serve as a loan officer, opening new accounts, educating members on products and services, and addressing member concerns. Collaboration with the Branch Manager is key to achieving branch performance goals and maintaining compliance and operational standards. Requirements

  • Proven track record of high performance in a member-facing and/or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of FAIRWINDS products, services, systems, and lending procedures.
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle escalated member concerns effectively and professionally.
  • Proven success in sales, service, and relationship-building.
  • Highly organized, goal-oriented, and driven by both results and team success.
  • Comfortable collaborating with leadership to build strategies and contribute to long-term branch planning.
  • Ready and eager to take on a greater leadership role and serve as a right-hand partner to your Branch Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive, coaching-focused environment to develop your team.
  • Ensure service, lending, and product penetration goals are consistently met.
  • Serve as a loan officer and interviewer, processing applications and disbursing funds.
  • Educate members on lending solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Open new accounts and provide guidance on FAIRWINDS products and services.
  • Support team members in delivering effective cross-selling and relationship-building strategies.
  • Address member concerns with professionalism and care, resolving issues quickly.
  • Assist in strategic branch planning, including the development of business lending strategies.
  • Lead or support key operational areas of the branch, including staffing, hiring, scheduling, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to meet or exceed branch performance goals and uphold all compliance and operational standards.
