About The Position

The Frazer Assistant Branch Manager serves as the internal administrative leader of the branch, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service. This position supports the Branch Manager in all aspects of branch management and acts as the primary backup in their absence. The role includes supervision of inside sales and warehouse staff, administrative coordination of deliveries, and direct customer engagement to ensure an efficient, accurate, and customer-focused experience. Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Minimum one year prior experience in building materials distribution or related industry.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer-facing or service-oriented position, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Proven ability to manage, schedule, and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Traverse, and inventory/order management systems.
  • Supervisory experience with inside sales, dispatch, or administrative staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations and act as their backup as needed.
  • Supervise and schedule the inside sales and counter staff, including managing workloads and coordinating order scheduling.
  • Monitor and ensure timely, courteous, and accurate customer service across all branch activities.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety practices.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and disputes through proper channels.
  • Ensure accurate order entry, product identification, and pricing processes.
  • Assist in the protection and proper handling of company assets, including inventory control, product rotation, and asset storage.
  • Maintain records and reports related to branch operations and financial activities as directed.
  • Prepare daily cash deposits and assist in month-end operating expense analysis.
  • Support physical inventories and cycle counts; assist with reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Participate in scheduled branch meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
