About The Position

At FAIRWINDS Credit Union, the Assistant Branch Manager at the Ormond Beach branch plays a crucial role in helping members achieve financial freedom. This position involves fostering a positive, coaching-focused environment to develop the team and ensure service, lending, and product penetration goals (such as membership and services per household) are consistently met. The Assistant Branch Manager also serves as a loan officer and interviewer, processing applications and disbursing funds while educating members on lending solutions tailored to their needs. They are responsible for opening new accounts and providing guidance on FAIRWINDS products and services to both new and existing members, ensuring a comprehensive, one-stop experience. The role includes supporting team members in delivering effective cross-selling and relationship-building strategies, addressing member concerns with professionalism, and assisting in strategic branch planning, including the development of business lending strategies. Furthermore, the Assistant Branch Manager leads or supports key operational areas of the branch, such as staffing, hiring, scheduling, training, and conducting performance evaluations. Collaboration with the Branch Manager is essential to meet or exceed branch performance goals and uphold all compliance and operational standards. Requirements

  • Proven track record of high performance in a member-facing and/or leadership role.
  • A natural coach and mentor; you enjoy developing others, offering feedback, and creating an environment where people thrive.
  • Strong knowledge of FAIRWINDS products, services, systems, and lending procedures, with confidence in presenting and recommending solutions.
  • You demonstrate excellent judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle escalated member concerns effectively and professionally.
  • Proven success in sales, service, and relationship-building; you're comfortable coaching others to do the same.
  • Highly organized, goal-oriented, and driven by both results and team success.
  • Comfortable collaborating with leadership to build strategies and contribute to long-term branch planning.
  • Ready and eager to take on a greater leadership role and serve as a right-hand partner to your Branch Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support key operational areas of the branch, including staffing, hiring, scheduling, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to meet or exceed branch performance goals and uphold all compliance and operational standards.
