About The Position

Responsible for assisting Branch Manager in sales and sales management, customer service levels, and day-to-day operations of facility(s), and assumes responsibility for the branch in the Manager's absence. Maintains knowledge of the bank's sales, service and operations. Acts as a teller, customer service representative, and supervises operations and sales, while providing Legendary Service to customers and employees. Serves as lead for staff by providing a positive example and attitude. Promotes bank's products and services to current and potential customers while providing education and leadership to staff. Ensures customer services are provided, opening accounts, providing customers with information, and resolving banking concerns. Acts as a resource to staff for operational and customer issue exercising discretion and good judgment. Responsible for daily contact with direct report employees and employees in other departments, with two-way communication between all departments ensuring an efficient and productive work place. Responds to daily activities governed by the amount of customer traffic in the facility, customer and employee demands, and meetings and classes. Responsible for keeping Manager informed about activities in facility. Responsible for general knowledge of installment lending to act as a liaison between customers and loan officers. Fills in as a teller when needed. Responsibilities include helping customers, processing transactions, balancing a teller drawer, assisting tellers with problems and decision making, implementing Teller referral model, and explaining policies and procedures. Serves as a lead for staff by referring bank's products and services to current and potential customers. Acts as Customer Service Representative, opening and closing all types of accounts, selling, and referring customers to other departments and resolving customer complaints. Responsible for the facilities referrals and sales. Expectations include reaching personal monthly sales goals and encouraging and be responsible for the facility meeting overall goals. Has an active role in entire sales process, being responsible for coaching and motivating employees. Responsible for overseeing operations of facility. Opens and closes facility, buys and sells money, maintains branch cash levels, performs teller cash box audits, monitors and maintains night depository agreements, monitors security and compliance issues, completes branch audits, and oversees information security. Responsible for operations of branch including staffing, coaching, loss prevention, and development of knowledgeable well trained staff members. Must have a good understanding of security and fraud protections, operations, and products and services. Promotes team atmosphere providing Legendary Service to customers and coworkers while ensuring branch operations in accordance with branch control manual standards. Understands role in case of robbery and knows proper post-robbery procedures. Accountable for other tasks as directed. Interacts with other bank employees to complete customer and employee requests. Provides a lead in accuracy, service, strong sales ability, and efficiency for others. Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives. Tellers and Personal Bankers will report indirectly to Assistant Branch Manager with questions and/or problems. Assumes responsibilities of branch in Branch Manager's absence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • At least 2 years of banking experience.
  • At least 1 year of management experience.
  • Previous sales experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of teller and new account functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of bank regulations, bank policies and procedures, and bank products and services.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with accuracy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer relations skills.
  • Ability to work with employees and customers in a cooperative, positive, professional manner.
  • Good judgment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately to analyze information and make decisions.

  • Successful completion of in-house training programs.
  • Computer skills (email, printer, copy, Microsoft Office).
  • Experience with Image Scanner, Cash Counting Machine, Cash Dispensing Machine and Coin Counter.
