About The Position

Rosedale Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to join their team in Dundalk. This role assists in directing, overseeing, and administering branch operations. The Assistant Branch Manager functions as part of the branch management team, handles management responsibilities for Relationship Guides, and assumes the Branch Manager's duties in their absence. The position is responsible for promoting the Bank's relationship sales culture, delivering an outstanding customer experience, and focusing on acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships. Key aspects of this role include professionalism, leadership, being a positive role model, and fostering teamwork.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the Relationship Guide role or comparable experience.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to sell and cross sell products and services to build and deepen customer relationships.
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Accurate and detail oriented.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Team player and adaptable.
  • Solid knowledge of personal computers.
  • Ability to count large sums of cash and coin.
  • Dependable.

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework preferred.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly assist the Branch Manager with all management functions including staffing, scheduling, performance management, training, one on one's, coaching, and employee recognition and development.
  • Perform the Branch Manager's duties in their absence.
  • Lead branch meetings and huddles relating to products, sales and service and operations.
  • Create an outstanding customer experience that is personalized, responsive and convenient; ensuring that customers are serviced in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
  • Serve as the branch's product knowledge expert, possessing thorough knowledge of product features and benefits and the ability to sell these benefits to customers.
  • Provide product knowledge training for branch staff.
  • Set the example in customer service delivery for branch staff to emulate.
  • Know the branch customer base and customers' typical banking activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence with customers throughout the branch including lobby, platform and teller line.
  • Identify and refer potential lending opportunities to the appropriate department.
  • Participate in outbound customer calling efforts.
  • Assist with directing, overseeing, delegating, and completing the daily operations to include management of security procedures, audit control, reporting, settlements, physical branch maintenance, proper branch opening and closing, and adherence to all policies and procedures.
  • Run a teller drawer as needed.
  • Open new accounts/close accounts to include checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and business accounts, and take credit card applications.
