About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the head coach with organizing the sports program in which you are assisting. The position assists with conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques. The role aims to enhance student athletes' personal, physical, and social growth and development in a culturally diverse environment. The coach will instruct participants in the skills and techniques of their position and attend meetings as required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the sport is required.
• Satisfactory completion of the interview process.
• Verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment.
• Satisfactory completion of a state and federal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous coaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach with overall team management, including recruitment of student athletes, coordination of team practices, monitoring academic progress of athletes, and preparing the team for competition.
• Prepare student athletes mentally and physically for athletic competition.
• Enhance student athlete's personal, physical, and social growth and development in a culturally diverse environment.
• Instructs participants in the skills and techniques of the position played in the sport.
• Attend meetings as required by the Director of Athletics and/or Head Coach.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
