About The Position
Assist Head Coach in coaching and supervising in the sport involved. This role requires the individual to be at least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. The assistant coach will help enforce disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior, fill in for the Head Coach when necessary, and perform other assigned duties. Successful completion of all required training, including physical and emotional development of students, school discipline policies, safety and first aid (CPR/AED), a clear criminal records check, and adherence to KHSAA and NFHS guidelines are mandatory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 21 years of age.
- Successful completion of all required training per board policy.
- Training in physical and emotional development of students.
- Training in school’s discipline policies.
- Training in procedures for dealing with discipline problems.
- Safety and first aid training (CPR/AED certification).
- A clear criminal records check.
- Follows all KHSAA and NFHS guidelines and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist Head Coach in all phases of coaching in the sport involved.
- Enforces disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior at all times.
- Fills in for the Head Coach when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
