About The Position

As a Banquet Beverage Assistant Manager at Mandalay Bay, you will be responsible for overseeing the beverage employees. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience, including supervisory experience in beverage or an equivalent Food & Beverage supervisory position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and counsel to beverage employees, ensure the staff is scheduled properly, and provide recommendations to management on daily operational issues.
  • Provide management support in the oversight of an assigned shift to ensure the delivery of quality service to guests; coordinate the requisition process and stocking of beverage outlets to maximize revenues for the division.
  • Manage assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision; direct smooth, efficient, cost-effective operations, including labor management, supervision of all aspects of service, scheduling, and inventory control.
  • Manage and monitor the fiscal budget, operations of assigned department(s), and marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability.
  • Manage the delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s), consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes; respond to guest complaints and take appropriate action.
  • Manage personnel responsibilities for assigned department(s), including creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; ensuring effective hiring, training, and succession planning processes that support the company’s diversity commitment; adhering to the company’s status quo third-party representation philosophy; and ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.
