About The Position

Provide assistance to the Head Baseball Coach with the recruiting, daily coaching and teaching, game day responsibilities and administrative duties of the Baseball program.

Requirements

• Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of collegiate and/or professional playing experience and/or up to 1 year experience coaching at the collegiate or professional level.
• An understanding of college recruiting procedures and the technical fundamentals of Baseball required.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and strong motivational and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the coaching, evaluation, recruitment and communication process of athletic and academic talented potential Baseball student-athletes.
• Assist in directing the coaching techniques for the day-to-day Baseball practices and activities and administering the development of off the field academic, social, community service and behavioral skills.
• Assist with Baseball game day coaching responsibilities including implementing game plan, scouting reports, base coaching and evaluation.
• Assist with performing various Baseball administrative duties including managing budgets, scheduling, arranging travel, procuring umpires, ordering equipment and fund-raising activities.
• Cultivate positive relationships with Athletics Department, campus, and surrounding community to encourage external involvement and community pride.
• Other duties as assigned.
