About The Position

Requirements

  • Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Band Safety" course.
  • Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Concussion in Sports – What You Need to Know" course.
  • Current Certification in CPR or Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "CPR and AED training" course.
  • Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Heat Illness Prevention" course.
  • Content area related degree or approved equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of essential skills, techniques, rules, and safety concerns for the Performing Arts Activity.
  • Skill in communicating with all stakeholders.
  • Skill in communicating with parents and other Performing Arts professionals.
  • General knowledge necessary to adhere to rules set out by ABODA and Peoria Unified School District #11.
  • Possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Pass a background clearance check.
  • Registration at National Federation of State High School Associations for training.

Responsibilities

  • Verify completion of NFHS online courses: Band Safety, Concussion in Sports, CPR and AED training, and Heat Illness Prevention.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other Performing Arts professionals.
  • Adhere to rules set by ABODA and Peoria Unified School District #11.
  • Establish a sense of camaraderie among students through teambuilding, fundraising, and service projects.
