About The Position
Delivers fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Market 32/Price Chopper customers. Assists the Bakery Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations by ensuring compliance with merchandising, sanitation and training policies and procedures. Inspects bakery products to ensure product availability and quality are maintained, maximizing sales opportunities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support others; with strong follow-through in achieving desired results and objectives.
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- 6-12 months of related experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer skills
Responsibilities
- Consistently adhere to company 5S efficiency standards while providing fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service.
- Demonstrate a welcoming customer service approach by smiling, making eye contact and thanking customers after fulfilling their requests.
- Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S standards at all times.
- Assist with bakery operations within the retail store environment, including product preparation, baking, merchandising and final presentation of all bakery products.
- Oversee department operations in the absence of the Bakery Manager.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through product availability, quality, exceptional service and sanitary conditions. Maintain an adequate presentation and the appropriate product variety to meet customer needs.
- Comply with all corporate and state sanitation regulations while maintaining a neat and clean workstation.
- Manage and fulfill all customer special orders accurately and timely.
- Assist with the training and development of bakery associates to support corporate performance standards.
- Comply with all company safety and training policies and procedures, and ensure bakery associates do the same.
- Assist the Bakery Manager in maintaining corporate inventory levels in freezers, coolers, back rooms, supplies and Deco Pac.
- Develop proficiency in all financial aspects of the Bakery Department, including paperwork, weekly shrink, transfer sales and budgets.
- Control shrink by consistently following related policies and procedures.
