Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is looking for a highly motivated Assistant Attorney General to join the Gaming Enforcement Division within the Criminal Bureau in the Western Massachusetts Office (WMAS) in Springfield, MA. The WMAS staff handle legal matters from various areas of the Attorney General’s Office (AGO), including the Criminal, Energy & Environmental, Government, Health Care & Fair Competition, and Public Protection & Advocacy Bureaus. The WMAS Office also provides on-site assistance to residents with civil rights, consumer, and labor issues, and serves as a regional hub for the implementation of AGO-wide priorities that involve community outreach, education, and policy initiatives. The Assistant Attorney General position involves the investigation and prosecution of complex criminal cases within the jurisdiction of Western Massachusetts. Cases will include a variety of matters handled by the Criminal Bureau with a focus on gaming. The Gaming Enforcement Division is a statewide team of prosecutors, investigators, and administrative and other staff, partnered with the Massachusetts State Police, and charged with investigating and prosecuting gaming-related crimes pursuant to G.L. c. 12 § 11M.
