About The Position

The Utah Attorney General has an immediate opening for an attorney to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the Antitrust & Data Privacy Division. This position reports to the Division Director, working with a team of approximately six other attorneys and staff, focusing primarily on antitrust enforcement, while assisting with the data privacy docket. The Division is also at the cutting edge of the national discussion about cybersecurity, consumer data privacy rights, artificial intelligence and related topics like child online safety and privacy, and social media regulation. Utah is a leader in developing and instituting data privacy protections for consumers, and the team is responsible for enforcing the Utah Protection of Personal Information Act (UPPIA), the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA), the Genetic Information Privacy Act (GIPA), and the Government Data Privacy Act (GDPA), and more. The ideal candidate will have experience with litigating antitrust and competition law.
