Faculty Position: Assistant Attending Physician, Gastrointestinal Oncology Service, Department of Medicine
About The Position
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Gastrointestinal Oncology Service, within the Division of Solid Tumor Oncology in the Department of Medicine, is seeking full-time physicians at the Assistant Attending level or higher. The role focuses on caring for patients with gastrointestinal malignancies, education, and research, at MSK’s New York City and/or Regional Care Network locations, including Long Island and New Jersey. The Gastrointestinal Oncology Service provides multidisciplinary care for patients with gastrointestinal malignancies of all types. The position includes clinical expertise in patient care, clinical research, and teaching and training. Candidates should have superb clinical and interpersonal skills and be critical thinkers, highly motivated, empathetic, and team-oriented. A strong background in treating all gastrointestinal cancers is required. Physicians interested in clinical investigation or academic medical practice will be considered.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or equivalent.
- Board eligible or board certified in Medical Oncology.
- Eligible for New York and New Jersey state licenses.
- Certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Child Abuse Identification & Reporting.
- Strong background in treating all gastrointestinal cancers.
- Superb clinical and interpersonal skills; critical thinking, motivation, empathy, and ability to work as part of a team.
