About The Position

Binghamton University is seeking an Athletic Trainer to join its Sports Medicine Team. The Binghamton University Sports Medicine Team provides efficient and effective interdisciplinary care to help prevent and manage athletic-related injuries or illnesses. Treatment of these conditions are based on sound medical principles, considering personal and team goals, delivered in a professional and ethical environment. Binghamton University Athletic Trainers are certified by and members of the National Athletic Trainers Association.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Athletic Training from an accredited institution
Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) and maintain the standards established by the National Athletic Trainers Associations' delineation study
In good standing with the NATA, BOC, the local NATA District and the State Athletic Trainers' Association
Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) certification pursuant to Public Health Law Section 3000-b (3) (a)
CPR certification for the Professional Rescuer
Valid driver's license to operate a vehicle when needed for practice and competition

Nice To Haves

Valid licensure as a Certified Athletic Trainer for the State of New York issued pursuant to Article 162 of the Education Law, by time of appointment
Minimum of one year of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer
Experience working in a collegiate setting
Experience working in an NCAA D1 setting
