Assistant Athletic Trainer
About The Position
Campbellsville University is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This role involves providing comprehensive care for athletic injuries, including emergency preparedness, prevention, evaluation, referral, and rehabilitation for assigned teams. The position also includes responsibilities such as managing supply inventory, contributing to department policy and procedure creation, assisting with the university's drug testing program, and supervising student helpers. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of athletic teams, with required coverage for home events and some away events. Athletic team assignments will be determined by current needs and the candidate's experience. Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program
- Successfully passed the Board of Certification exam
- Completed all qualifications to be actively certified
- Eligible for licensure under the State of Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure for Athletic Training
- Able to lift loads of 50 pounds or more
- Great communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Possess critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Emergency preparedness, prevention, evaluation, referral, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for assigned teams
- Supply inventory and bidding
- Creation of department policy and procedure
- Assistance with implementation of university drug testing program
- Supervision of student helpers
- Opportunity to work with 32 varsity and 10 junior varsity athletic teams
- Home event and some away event coverage is required
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer
