About The Position

This position is for an Assistant/Associate Professor with a minimum qualification of a Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited institution and a PhD in Social Work or a related field. The role requires two years of post-MSW social work practitioner experience and two years of teaching experience in social work education. Preferred qualifications include a record of peer-reviewed scholarship, evidence of teaching excellence and potential for scholarly productivity (including grant-funded research), and practice experience in areas such as research methods, medical/hospital social work, community health, behavioral health, program evaluation, and policy/advocacy. Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, academic advising, online learning systems, and online pedagogy is also preferred. Content expertise in generalist or specialized courses is desired, particularly in areas like research methods, health and social welfare policy, healthcare-focused practice, behavioral health practice, and trauma-informed practice. The ideal candidate will have experience and sensitivity in working with diverse populations, a demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to integrate culturally responsive practices.

Requirements

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited institution
  • PhD in Social Work or related field

  • Two (2) year teaching experience in social work education
