About The Position

The School of Environment, Geography and Sustainability invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position with a specialization in GIScience and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of courses in geospatial technologies, including introductory geospatial technologies, cartographic design, spatial analysis, remote sensing, and UAS applications. Additionally, the role involves conducting research utilizing geospatial technologies and UAS. A strong commitment to fostering an inclusive academic environment is essential.

Requirements

  • PhD in Geography or related discipline from an accredited institution, with specialization in GIScience, awarded by August 14, 2026.
  • Ability to teach introductory geospatial technologies, cartographic design, spatial analysis, remote sensing, and UAS applications.
  • Ability to conduct research using geospatial technologies (GIscience and UAS).
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive environment.
