About The Position

The Department of Population Health Management & Policy ( PHMP ), within the Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, is seeking an assistant/associate professor whose teaching and scholarly research agenda is focused on healthcare administration and public/ population health, or a closely related focus area. The primary purpose of this role is to provide student-centered teaching and clinical instruction of undergraduate and graduate-level courses. Faculty in this role will provide student advising, student mentoring, and recruitment, curriculum development, and engage in program assessment and accreditation-related procedures. The ideal candidate will be expected to: (i) establish and sustain a strong externally-funded research program in their field of expertise; (ii) produce an excellent record of scholarly publications; (iii) incorporate modern pedagogical skills in healthcare management/administration courses to undergraduate and graduate courses; (iv) supervise and support student projects; and (vi provide service to the department, the college and university as well as to appropriate community and professional organizations. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position. The selected candidate’s faculty rank will be determined by their qualifications.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. in Health Services Administration or a related field.
