The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) seeks a full-time Division Chief and Medical Director of Breast Imaging. This is a senior academic leadership role responsible for overseeing all clinical operations, education, research, and faculty development within a thriving and well-resourced breast imaging program located on the Gulf Coast. The program is built for academic excellence with four dedicated breast imaging clinics across the coastal Galveston corridor (League City and Galveston campuses are designated ACR Centers of Excellence in Breast Imaging, with satellite clinics in Angleton and Clear Lake planned for growth). The program boasts six fellowship-trained breast imaging radiologists with no general radiology duties or after-hours call, a team fully focused on the subspecialty. It also includes two breast imaging fellowship positions and 8 radiology residents per year, providing a meaningful pipeline for mentorship and educational scholarship. The program utilizes state-of-the-art technology, including new digital mammography, tomosynthesis, and contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) units, as well as a mobile breast imaging van to extend access to underserved communities. Academic appointments are tailored to candidates with interests in research, scholarship, or program leadership. The position benefits from a large, diverse patient population and proximity to the Texas Medical Center, supporting clinical trials, outcomes research, and interdisciplinary collaboration. UTMB actively supports foreign medical graduates in obtaining ABR certification.
