About The Position

Lipscomb University’s School of Music in Nashville, Tennessee, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Choral Music Education and Choral Activities, beginning August 2026. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in music education; direct at least one of Lipscomb University’s premier vocal ensembles, such as the Concert Choir or the University Chorale, and provide overall leadership for the choral program. Teaching may include elementary and secondary methods, instructional technologies, conducting, choral literature, and related areas aligned with expertise. Requirements

  • Applicants should hold a master’s degree (doctorate preferred, ABD considered) in Music Education or a closely related field.
  • At least 3 years of successful K–12 music teaching
  • successful higher-education teaching
  • a strong record of student recruitment and mentoring

Responsibilities
