About The Position

The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University seeks applications for a full-time oral and maxillofacial surgeon in a clinical-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic academic oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training program and contribute to the mission of the larger Division and College via pursuit of excellence in teaching, research, and service. Requirements

DDS, DMD, or international equivalent degree
Training certificate from a CODA accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery training program
Eligibility for a regular (unlimited) dental license by the Ohio State Dental Board
Board-eligibility or board-certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons

Responsibilities

Teach at the pre-doctoral and resident trainee levels in both didactic and clinical settings.
Engage in research within the college and across other health science units at The Ohio State University and demonstrate high-quality scholarly work, including presentations at professional meetings and publications of basic or clinical research.
Serve in university and college governance.
Practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery and participate in maxillofacial trauma and odontogenic infection call for all affiliated hospitals.
