The Drexel University Physician Assistant (PA) Program invites applications from an experienced, energetic, and collaborative PA educator to join our faculty. This is a 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor, Associate Clinical Professor, or Clinical Professor. The successful candidate will contribute to both the didactic and clinical phases of the program and will have opportunities to engage in teaching, student mentoring, assessment, curriculum development, and service. Drexel’s PA Program is one of the nation’s oldest and most established PA education programs. Located within the Drexel University College of Nursing & Health Professions (CNHP), the program prepares future physician assistants to provide high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care across diverse populations and clinical settings. We seek faculty who are committed to excellence in PA education, student success, interprofessional education, and the continued advancement of the PA profession. The College of Nursing & Health Professions is committed to increasing the diversity of our faculty, student body, and the physician assistant workforce. We value faculty who bring diverse perspectives, experiences, and expertise to the classroom and clinical learning environment and who are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive educational experience for all students. In August 2022, CNHP moved to the newly constructed Health Sciences Building on Drexel’s main campus in University City, Philadelphia. This state-of-the-art health education and research facility brings together CNHP’s academic programs with Drexel’s Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences & Professional Studies and College of Medicine, creating exceptional opportunities for collaboration across health professions and disciplines. The building provides modern instructional, simulation, clinical skills, research, and collaborative spaces that support innovative health professions education. Drexel’s University City campus is situated within one of the nation’s most dynamic academic and health sciences communities. The surrounding University City neighborhood is home to the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Medicine, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and numerous healthcare, research, technology, and life sciences organizations. The area is a vibrant hub for innovation, clinical practice, research, and education, with an extensive array of restaurants, businesses, cultural attractions, and wellness spaces. This is an exciting opportunity for a PA educator to join a well-established program within a comprehensive health professions college and to contribute to the education of the next generation of physician assistants.
