About The Position

The Department of Neurology invites applications for a full-time Vascular Neurologist at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We seek an outstanding clinician-scholar committed to excellence in patient care, education, research, and service. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary neuroscience team dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cerebrovascular diseases. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient vascular neurology services, participating in acute stroke management, contributing to educational programs, and engaging in scholarly activities that advance the field of vascular neurology.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency program
  • Completion of fellowship training in Vascular Neurology
  • Board certified or board eligible in Neurology
  • Board certified or eligible in Vascular Neurology
  • Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the applicable state
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, education, and academic excellence

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert care for patients with stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA), cerebrovascular disorders, and related neurological conditions
  • Participate in acute stroke evaluation and management, including telestroke and inpatient consultation services as applicable
  • Collaborate with neurosurgery, neurointerventional radiology, emergency medicine, rehabilitation medicine, and other specialties to deliver comprehensive stroke care
  • Participate in departmental call schedules and clinical coverage responsibilities
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and stroke program development
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare trainees
  • Develop and participate in educational conferences, lectures, and curriculum activities
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical, translational, health services, or outcomes research
  • Pursue and maintain an active academic portfolio appropriate to faculty rank
  • Participate in departmental, institutional, and professional service activities
