Assistant/Associate /Full Professor - Neuroimmunology Neurologist
About The Position
The Department of Neurology invites applications for a full-time Neuroimmunology Specialist at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We seek an outstanding clinician-scholar committed to excellence in patient care, education, research, and service. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary neuroscience team dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and research of neuroimmunologic disorders. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient neuroimmunology services, caring for patients with multiple sclerosis and related autoimmune neurologic diseases, contributing to educational programs, and engaging in scholarly activities that advance the field of neuroimmunology.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency program
- Completion of fellowship training in Neuroimmunology, Multiple Sclerosis, or a related subspecialty
- Board certified or board eligible in Neurology
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Florida
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, education, and academic excellence
Responsibilities
- Provide expert care for patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD), autoimmune encephalitis, and other neuroimmunologic disorders
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient and inpatient neuroimmunology consultation services
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing current evidence-based therapies and disease-modifying treatments
- Collaborate with specialists in neuroradiology, neuro-ophthalmology, rehabilitation medicine, rheumatology, immunology, and related disciplines to provide multidisciplinary care
- Participate in departmental call schedules and clinical coverage responsibilities
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and the growth and development of the Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis Program
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare trainees
- Develop and participate in educational conferences, lectures, and curriculum activities
- Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical, translational, immunologic, outcomes, or health services research
- Pursue and maintain an active academic portfolio appropriate to faculty rank
- Participate in departmental, institutional, and professional service activities
