About The Position

Landon Summer seeks an Assistant Aquatics Director to help manage the daily pool operations for Landon Summer, Landon School's summer camp. The Assistant Aquatics Director would work directly with the Aquatics Director in planning, supervision, and daily operations of the camp's aquatic program to create a safe, organized and engaging pool environment for campers and staff.

Requirements

• Current certification in lifeguarding, first aid, CPR, and AED
• Experience working with children and aquatics programs
• Experience supervising staff
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors

Responsibilities

• Assist with overseeing daily aquatic programming and operations
• Supervise, schedule, and support lifeguard staff
• Ensure safety procedures, policies, and pool regulations are followed
• Assist with swim testing, attendance, and camper supervision
• Help manage pool facilities, equipment, and supplies
• Ensure pool shed is clean, safe, stocked, and neat
• Survey pool area daily, and keep the area free of hazards and debris
• Conduct a daily check of equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair
• Communicate with camp leadership, staff, and families as appropriate
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and camp events
• Perform other duties as assigned
