About The Position
Kids Country is currently in search of full-time Assistant Teacher to join our After School Classroom! Willing to work around college schedules! This is a part-time M-F position. Hours are primarily 2:00 - 6:00 PM. Willing to work around college schedules!
Requirements
- 18+ years of age
- 1+ year experience in a childcare center
- 2+ year of full-time college credits in Education or a related field; or be working towards a degree in Education
- Meets the requirements under MN Rule 3 to be an Assistant Teacher
- CPR/First Aid Certified, or willing to become certified
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and families

Responsibilities
- Assisting the lead teacher in daily activities such as art, science, music and movement.
- Interacting and building relationships with students, parents, and other teachers
- Going on field trips
- Creating and leading a supportive, nurturing learning environment
- Teaching children how to interact with the world around them
- Encouraging children to grow and develop social, emotional, and physical skills
