About The Position

The Assistant Account Manager, Creative Design, supports the in-house Creative Design team by managing day-to-day project needs, facilitating communication between internal stakeholders and creative teams, and ensuring the smooth execution of creative deliverables across channels. This role blends tactical account management with foundational strategic thinking, helping translate category insights, brand priorities, and marketing objectives into actionable creative direction. This position supports designers in developing creative assets for key marketing initiatives across promotions, traditional media, digital platforms, social media, e-commerce, and in-store support. The Assistant Account Manager plays a critical role in gathering inputs, identifying gaps, and ensuring creative work aligns with category strategies and business goals while supporting the Associate Manager, Strategy. To excel in this position, the individual must be proactive, organized, and able to think holistically, managing projects with urgency, providing thoughtful creative input, and cultivating strong cross-functional relationships to drive business results. Success in this dynamic, fast-paced environment requires a self-starting mindset and the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the business category, brand, consumer segments, and competitive landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a creative agency, in-house agency, or brand marketing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage expectations and build trust with stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of creative processes, marketing fundamentals, and brand guidelines.
  • Ability to understand and apply category insights, consumer behavior, and brand strategy to creative work.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to connect business strategy to creative execution.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a keen sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive, collaborative approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods.
  • Experience supporting Shopper Marketing, Activation, or eCommerce creative projects.
  • 1+ years of working knowledge of advertising and consumer promotion.
  • 1+ years of experience working in digital and e-commerce (i.e., Amazon) activation.
  • 1+ years of experience working with retail marketing best practices.
  • Familiarity with digital, social, and retail marketing best practices.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Workfront).

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between Marketing teams and Creative Design, ensuring alignment on project scope.
  • Ensure creative briefs accurately reflect business needs and category strategy by reviewing inputs, identifying gaps, and partnering with Marketing and project leads to bring briefs to a completed, work-ready state that enables sound, effective creative execution before initiation.
  • Support the internal creative briefing process by preparing materials, documenting requirements, and ensuring designers receive clear direction.
  • Coordinate feedback loops between stakeholders and creative teams, ensuring revisions are consolidated, clear, and actionable.
  • Support presentation of creative work and document feedback/action items
  • Support the Associate Manager of Strategy in developing communication strategies, visibility frameworks, and creative approaches.
  • Monitor category performance, competitive activity, and marketing trends; share relevant insights with creative teams to strengthen creative output.
  • Help ensure creative assets support a cohesive consumer journey and align with category strategy and business objectives.
  • Support process improvements that enhance workflow efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Partner with Project Managers to support internal and external-facing communication related to project status, deliverables, and expectations.
  • Ensure all final deliverables meet brand standards, quality requirements, and business objectives.
  • Escalate scope changes, timeline risks, or unclear inputs to the Associate Manager, Strategy, and/or Project Manager.
