About The Position

GDIT is seeking an experienced Asset and Warehouse Manager to join their team supporting the US Central Command J6 on the CITS contract in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be a confident, strategic leader who thrives in high-visibility environments, excels at building and managing high-performing teams, and is comfortable engaging directly with government customers, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders on a daily basis. As the Manager of Asset and Warehouse Operations, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the IT warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of IT assets and equipment. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing warehouse processes, and supporting the broader asset and configuration management objectives of the organization.

Requirements

  • Experience with DoD asset management standards and prior leadership experience in a government or military environment.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) and ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • BS/BA degree with 5 years of related work experience in IT infrastructure, and/or warehouse/asset management experience
  • Must possess a forklift certification and renew the certification each year or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hiring.
  • Must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Current U.S. citizenship is required due to the Secret clearance requirement.
  • Must be able to work on site in Tampa FL at MacDill AFB.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of IT warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing IT hardware, software, and related equipment.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with government counterparts, proactively communicating inventory status, operational risks, and program updates.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level briefings and presentations to internal leadership and government stakeholders, summarizing key metrics, inventory status, audit findings, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the team and the government customer, attending regularly scheduled meetings, program reviews, and ad-hoc engagements on behalf of the asset and warehouse function.
  • Leverage existing tools and methodologies to capture, track, and prioritize all team work items, deliverables, and operational tasks.
  • Oversee the physical inventory of IT assets, ensuring accurate tracking, labeling, and documentation of all items throughout their lifecycle.
  • Maintain and reconcile inventory records in the command’s Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) and other applicable asset management systems ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular warehouse audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support regularly recurring and ad-hoc physical asset inventories, providing detailed reports and analysis to stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of asset and configuration management processes, including CMDB updates and lifecycle management.
  • Document warehouse processes and provide clear, concise communication to stakeholders regarding inventory status and warehouse operations.
  • Lead and coordinate regular warehouse audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations, delivering detailed findings and corrective action plans to stakeholders.
  • Stay current on industry and DoW best practices in warehouse management, IT asset tracking.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, support surge periods and adjust work schedule as needed.
