The Asset Protection Specialist will conduct internal theft investigations, identify theft trends, and drive a theft prevention culture. This role involves using technology, reporting, and surveillance tactics to reduce shortage by improving processes and standards. The specialist will also identify, escalate, and support internal theft investigations, gather intelligence to prevent theft, and utilize video systems to monitor activity. Responsibilities include responding to incidents, documenting them according to AP standards, and leading a physical safety and secure culture for employees. The role requires providing excellent service, demonstrating ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, and performing other duties as needed in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with HR, ER, LR, and Operations is essential, with a focus on safety and health. The specialist will assist with accident/injury investigations, the site emergency action plan, and liaise with local first responders. Continuous improvement principles will be used to enhance standards and outcomes. The role requires effective listening, rapport building, and communication at all levels, acting as a trusted advisor. The specialist must recognize and resolve ambiguous or challenging situations, focus on exceeding goals, and improve efficiency. Identifying system errors, available resolutions, and completing tasks are also key aspects of the role.
