About The Position

Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, and cleanliness. Oversees stocking, merchandise rotation, and product displays. Secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise. Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, and active listening. Tours stores and provides feedback. Communicates and collaborates with associates on store operations, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service, manages customer service initiatives, and ensures customer needs are met and issues are resolved. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and providing recognition. Builds accountability for policies and procedures. Measures adherence to loss prevention policies. Reviews inventory variances, conducts operational and pre-inventory reviews, and monitors deficiency trends. Identifies improvement opportunities and works with managers and associates to correct inventory controls. Trains managers and associates on operational controls and processes in multiple stores. Detects, deters, investigates, and resolves violations of company policies and criminal activities, including fraud and illegal activities. Gathers evidence, takes statements, writes case reports, and provides courtroom testimony. Partners with other investigative entities. Monitors safety and risk controls, ensuring an effective safety program and supervising safety team members. Identifies accident trends and implements solutions to prevent accidents. Observes workplace practices and provides training on accident prevention. Communicates plans to minimize accidents and oversees safety reviews. Manages facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures. Identifies gaps in expectations versus training and develops and delivers training as needed. Manages claims and receiving operations, ensuring proper policies and procedures are followed for claims (damaged, defective, returned, liquidated items) and merchandise deliveries. Maintains necessary documentation and reporting. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting initiatives, identifying goals, building accountability, and promoting continuous learning. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Requirements

  • Completion of 2 years of college.
  • 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment.
  • 1 year’s experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment.
  • 2 years’ experience in asset protection or related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification, licensing).
  • Acquisition of a current, state-issued Certificate of Eligibility (if applicable).
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training (if applicable).
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
