About The Position

Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, and cleanliness. Oversees stocking, rotation, display setup, and securing high-shrink merchandise. Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and providing feedback. Models exceptional customer service, manages customer initiatives, and resolves issues. Provides supervision and development for associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and setting clear expectations. Controls unexplained merchandise loss and improves profitability by identifying and communicating goals, building accountability for policies, and measuring adherence to loss prevention procedures. Reviews inventory variances, conducts operational reviews, and identifies improvement opportunities. Trains managers and associates on operational controls and processes. Investigates violations of company policies and criminal activities, gathering evidence, taking statements, writing reports, and providing testimony. Monitors safety and risk controls, ensuring an effective safety program, identifying accident trends, and providing training on accident prevention. Manages facility-level training for asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures, identifying gaps and developing training as needed. Oversees claims and receiving operations, ensuring proper procedures for processing claims (damaged, defective, returned, liquidated items) and merchandise deliveries. Coordinates job-related activities by developing stakeholder relationships, supporting initiatives, identifying goals, building accountability, and demonstrating adaptability. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Requirements

  • Completion of 2 years of college.
  • Option 2: 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment.
  • Option 3: 1 year’s experience in one of the following areas: accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi department environment.
  • Option 4: 2 years’ experience in asset protection or related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification, licensing).
  • If applicable, acquisition of a current, state issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • If applicable, successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
  • Certification in an asset protection related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified)
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
