About The Position

Asset Protection Officer/ EMT for STARR (US8) Manufacturing Facility. Purpose: Support the business unit in achieving objectives as specified by the plant, while ensuring safety and quality through being an engaged team member. The role involves responding to plant emergencies, operating and maintaining fire systems, traffic control, patrols, investigations, firefighting, and reception/registration of plant visitors. Requirements

  • Must have EMT Certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal).

Nice To Haves

  • Operating & Maintaining Fire Systems (fire sprinkler system, pumps, hoses, DIVs & PIVs).
  • Traffic Control, Plant Patrol, Vehicle & Foot Patrol, Investigations, & Mail.
  • Firefighting which includes MET Leader for Crew.
  • Reception and Registration of Plant Visitors Including Switchboard Operations.
  • Complete Training for Position and Progress within Role.
  • Must attain Incident Command & Interior Structural Firefighter, South Carolina First Responder, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Certifications, and have HAZMAT training.
  • Complete SCFA 1152 course.
  • Computer skills (data entry, e-mail, word, excel, etc.).
  • Environmental exposure: Chemicals, Heat, Cold, Outside Work Confined Space Hot Work Respirator Required.
  • Maintain Network / LDAP Access.
  • Distinguish Between Colors.
  • Ability to meet medical requirements for MET Membership, and be able to meet lifting requirements (Injured Employee, Fire Response Equipment, Chemical Spill Response Materials, Etc.).
  • Ability to maintain a proper seal for a SCBA Mask.

  • Respond to Plant Emergencies, including providing care to injured employees, chemical spill cleanup, security threats or disturbances, natural disasters, and fires.
