The Asset Protection Associate is responsible for observing activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity, and collecting investigative evidence utilizing CCTV and observations from the sales floor. This role follows AP Directives and Company policy when making apprehensions and executes required Company investigation routines to identify and resolve theft, properly documenting all stages. The associate will conduct external interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft, report suspected fraud and infractions of company policy, and create and manage records for apprehension, witness statements, evidence retention, and merchandise disposition. Additionally, the role involves supporting a safety culture, assisting store leadership with shrinkage and safety topics, identifying and correcting potential hazards, providing emergency incident response, and potentially assisting with Asset Protection audits. The associate will also coach associates on hazard reduction and support stores during critical incidents.
