About The Position

The Asset Protection Associate is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the facility and surrounding areas. This includes adhering to all safety standards and procedures, observing and reporting suspicious activity, assisting with investigations, and executing emergency response procedures. The role also emphasizes respecting individuals by embracing differences, creating an inclusive workplace, and building strong relationships. Associates are expected to act with integrity, uphold ethical standards, and contribute to Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company. The position also involves serving customers and members by delivering results and making informed decisions, and striving for excellence by demonstrating curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards procedures and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following Company steel standard guidelines and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management.
  • Secures and safeguards the Facility and surrounding areas by observing and communicating suspicious activity, assisting with investigations, maintaining paperwork logs and other required documentation, and appropriately executing emergency response procedures.
  • Works as a team, builds strong and trusting relationships, communicates with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence.
  • Strengthens the team by helping, developing, and mentoring others, recognizes others' contributions and accomplishments.
  • Maintains and promotes the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance.
