About The Position

We are looking for an Asset Monitoring Coordinator to join our Lab Support team at a major pharmaceutical customer location. A successful candidate will oversee enterprise-level support and service activities for company products and services in support of lab-based work. They must be able to develop customer relationships and understanding of customer’s business and product installations to identify service needs, plan service delivery and drive use of proactive service and support mechanisms to reduce client downtime and support costs. Must work well independently and as a team member, proactively bringing concerns to managerial staff. Must have good judgment and be a self-starter and self-directed worker.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of laboratory equipment maintenance, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex datasets and present actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams, including scientists, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive consensus among diverse teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical experience.
  • 2+ years of industry experience working in laboratory environments serving laboratory equipment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and associated tools.

Responsibilities

  • Daily upkeep and maintenance of sensors to identify and troubleshoot issues with asset monitoring system
  • Deployment of remote monitoring and utilization sensors in collaboration with scientific community to ensure prompt installation and comprehensive application of relevant alerting parameters
  • Managing the online asset monitoring platform to provide on-site support to end users and troubleshooting of any technical issues
  • Regular auditing of sensors to ensure accurate data collection
  • Managing inventory database and approving all additions, removals, and changes to equipment inventory and related data
  • Monthly audits of inventory database to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Supporting and spearheading projects related to inventory database, including 2D mapping and quarterly RFID audits
  • Leveraging utilization and environmental monitoring data to inform decisions on capital expenditure, contract purchasing, and service strategies in conjunction with stakeholders
  • Regular uploading and collection of data for tracking sensor deployment and troubleshooting
  • Collaborating cross-site with other PerkinElmer teams to support the overall functioning and development of the Asset Genius program
  • Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment is a requirement for all roles.
