About The Position

The Real Estate Asset Manager is responsible for creating and overseeing customized asset management strategies for multi-family LIHTC and HUD communities owned by National Church Residences. The position requires maximizing total return for each assigned asset through the analysis of property efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance. The role involves working closely with property managers and Regional Managers to provide direction for and oversight of business plans, budgets, forecasts, leases, analysis and approvals. It also includes conducting market studies of competing properties to determine market competitive rents, managing cash flow, distribution analysis, and investment projections. The Asset Manager will develop and distribute periodic asset management reports to senior management, investors, consultants, and other partners, positioning each asset for optimal financial performance through budgeting and monitoring financial performance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or related field with strong record of academic achievement
  • Experience in property management/leasing/operations and/or real estate asset management
  • Proficiency with modeling investments in Excel
  • Understanding of Partnership Agreements and Low Income Housing Tax Credits
  • Understanding of accounting and financial modeling
  • Solid analytical and organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Highly-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem solving approach
  • Self directed and self-managing
  • Up to 25% travel throughout the United States is required for this position
  • Must be able to perform typical movements required in an office position such as sitting, standing, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, and reaching.
  • Must periodically deal with interruptions due to activity in the work area
  • Reasoning Ability: Information gathering, analysis and conclusions
  • Mathematics Ability: ADVANCED MATH INCLUDING FINANCIAL CALCULATIONS
  • Language Ability: ENGLISH ONLY REQUIRED
