About The Position

The Real Estate Asset Manager (Hybrid) role is responsible for creating and overseeing customized asset management strategies for multi-family LIHTC and HUD communities owned by National Church Residences. The position aims to maximize total return for each assigned asset through the analysis of property efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance. The role involves close collaboration with property managers and Regional Managers to provide direction and oversight for business plans, budgets, forecasts, leases, analysis, and approvals. It also includes conducting market studies, managing cash flow, distribution analysis, and investment projections, as well as developing and distributing periodic asset management reports. The goal is to position each asset for optimal financial performance through budgeting and monitoring financial performance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or related field with strong record of academic achievement
  • Experience in property management/leasing/operations and/or real estate asset management
  • Proficiency with modeling investments in Excel
  • Understanding of Partnership Agreements and Low Income Housing Tax Credits
  • Understanding of accounting and financial modeling
  • Solid analytical and organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Highly-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem solving approach
  • Self directed and self-managing

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • PRAC specific position with preference to candidates with HUD experience

Responsibilities

  • Maximize total return for each assigned asset through the analysis of property efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance
  • Work closely with property managers and Regional Managers to provide direction for and oversight of business plans, budgets, forecasts, leases, analysis and approvals
  • Conduct market studies of competing properties to determine market competitive rents
  • Manage cash flow, distribution analysis and investment projections
  • Develop and distribute periodic asset management reports to senior management, investors, consultants and other partners
  • Position each asset for optimal financial performance through such activities as budgeting and monitoring financial performance
