The Utilities Division is responsible for public health and safety, as well as safeguarding the environment, by providing crucial safe water and wastewater services. This position is part of the team that provides services necessary for human health, economic stability, and overall societal well-being. At the core of the mission of providing these services includes commitment to providing excellent customer service to our citizens, business partners, regulatory agencies, and other county divisions. This highly technical Utilities Asset Management work involves developing, analyzing, and managing the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). This position includes assisting the asset manager and team in asset inventory and condition assessment efforts, assessing the condition of physical assets (horizontal and vertical), integrating data collected with the CMMS and other software programs, ensuring accessibility of collected data, performing quality assurance/quality control checks on asset data, and assisting in analyzing data to improve operational and cost efficiencies. The purpose of this key position is to provide analytical and project management support to the Department Manager, Asset Management in defining, implementing, training, and maintaining the Asset Management Program for Polk County Utilities.
