This role involves taking an active ownership role in the performance of the company's multifamily portfolio. It is a hands-on position, not a back-office reporting role, where the individual will be embedded in the business. The role reports directly to regional leadership and works alongside firm principals on business plan execution, property performance monitoring, financial analysis, and value-creation strategy across a dynamic, growing portfolio. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly analytical, and desires to work in an entrepreneurial environment where contributions are visible and rewarded.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in multifamily asset management, real estate private equity, or a related investment role.
  • Demonstrated track record executing asset-level business plans and conducting financial analysis for multifamily properties.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field required.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Ability to quickly analyze real-time data and make business plan recommendations in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills that can tailor analysis and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and a rigorous, methodical approach to financial analysis.
  • Strong work ethic and an ownership mindset.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency for financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with various real estate platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to large multifamily portfolios and value-add investment strategies strongly preferred.
  • Experience in California, Florida, and/or Texas markets a plus.
  • MBA or MSRED a plus.
  • CPM or CCIM designation a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of asset-level business plans, including capital budgets, operational strategy, and value-creation initiatives for the assigned portfolio.
  • Track progress of multi-layered business plans across finance, property management, and capital improvement workstreams, identifying issues and opportunities, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Monitor property performance against underwriting assumptions and budget, building the analysis that drives strategic decisions.
  • Support hold/sell analysis and disposition strategy for portfolio assets nearing the end of their investment horizon.
  • Forecast future cash flows, distributions, and returns for assigned assets using dynamic financial models.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the portfolio, identifying deviations, understanding drivers, and presenting clear recommendations.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, NOI analyses, and KPI dashboards for regional leadership and firm principals.
  • Analyze leasing performance, loss-to-lease capture, rent growth, and market positioning, translating findings into actionable strategy.
  • Work directly with third-party property management teams to implement operational strategies, improve performance, and resolve issues impacting NOI.
  • Monitor occupancy, leasing velocity, renewal rates, and expense management across assets relative to budget and market benchmarks.
  • Travel regularly to portfolio properties to conduct site visits, meet with management teams, and assess asset performance.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Multifamily Capital Projects on renovation programs, capital improvement scopes, and repositioning initiatives.
  • Track capital project budgets and timelines against underwriting assumptions and flag variances early.
  • Assist the acquisitions team with underwriting, due diligence, and operational assumption development for new investment opportunities.
  • Support the onboarding and transition of newly acquired assets into the asset management platform.
  • Contribute market intelligence from day-to-day asset management work to inform acquisition strategy.

Benefits

  • Career Growth. A clearly defined path from Associate / Senior Associate to Senior Associate / VP of Asset Management within an actively growing investment platform.
  • Direct Exposure. Daily interaction with regional leadership and firm principals in a lean, high-visibility team where your work shapes real investment decisions.
  • Portfolio Scale. Immediate exposure to a large, geographically diverse multifamily portfolio spanning California, Florida, Texas, and the Sunbelt.
  • Comprehensive Benefits. Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; paid time off; and paid holidays.
  • Entrepreneurial Culture. A fast-moving, collaborative environment where smart people work hard, support each other, and take genuine pride in what they build.
