About The Position
As a member of the mental health residential services team, this position is responsible for the coordination of the mental health approved home program in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members and the Ministry of Health. The purpose of this position is to provide assessment of persons interested in accessing mental health approved homes, and the recruitment, education and support of mental health approved home operators. Under the supervision of the program manager for residential services, this position is responsible for assigning individual supports to persons living in Mental Health approved homes; licensing and monitoring Mental Health approved homes; providing consultation, referral and conducting research related to the Mental Health approved home program.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
- Advanced - Communication skills
- Advanced - Assessment skills
- Basic - Computer skills
- Basic - Interviewing skills
- Basic - Counseling skills
- Advanced - Decision making skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to be flexible and willing to change
- Knowledge in the SHA, community resources and applicable programming
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
- Travel required
- Valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search (required at time of interview)
