Requirements

  • Master's Degree in field of Behavioral/Social Sciences or active RN liscenced in Alabama
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Ability to provide orientation and continuing education with co-workers
  • The ability to establish rapport quickly via telephone or in person
  • Must be computer literate and have excellent clerical skills

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years experience in Intake, psychiatric setting (outpatient or inpatient) and crisis intervention
  • Experience in insurance benefits verification and admission, pre-certification
  • Familiar with medical and psychiatric terminology/psychotropic medications
  • Handle with Care and CPR certified

Responsibilities

  • Suicide Risk Screening and Assessments
  • Receiving Helpline referral calls
  • Obtaining initial authorization from the insurance companies
  • Completing the admission process
  • Communicating with the Business Office regarding financial issues
  • Collecting Intake data to be given to the Physician for disposition
