Requirements
- Master's Degree in field of Behavioral/Social Sciences or active RN liscenced in Alabama
- Effective leadership skills
- Ability to provide orientation and continuing education with co-workers
- The ability to establish rapport quickly via telephone or in person
- Must be computer literate and have excellent clerical skills
Nice To Haves
- Three (3) years experience in Intake, psychiatric setting (outpatient or inpatient) and crisis intervention
- Experience in insurance benefits verification and admission, pre-certification
- Familiar with medical and psychiatric terminology/psychotropic medications
- Handle with Care and CPR certified
Responsibilities
- Suicide Risk Screening and Assessments
- Receiving Helpline referral calls
- Obtaining initial authorization from the insurance companies
- Completing the admission process
- Communicating with the Business Office regarding financial issues
- Collecting Intake data to be given to the Physician for disposition
