About The Position

Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling
A minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience including therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention and case management functions with individuals with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders.
Must provide proof of registration for supervision toward licensure with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals (LPC or LCSW) within 90 days of employment.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Proficiency in utilizing software tools for assessments and program enrollment
Ability to manage service request authorizations for insurance companies
Must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.

Nice To Haves

Prior management experience in a clinical setting
Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Personally perform and supervise a dedicated team focused on conducting comprehensive mental status evaluations and client assessments
Develop tailored service plans
Ensure seamless connections to essential service providers
Guide staff through complex cases
Oversee the monitoring and documentation of client progress
Oversee crisis intervention
Oversee client advocacy
Engage in developing individualized treatment plans
Facilitate discharge planning, ensuring clients receive the after-care they need
Train and orient new team members
Coordinate strategies that align with divisional objectives
Collaborate with various community partners, including law enforcement and healthcare providers
Contribute to policy improvement and resource management
