About The Position

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling
  • A minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience including therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention and case management functions with individuals with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders.
  • Must provide proof of registration for supervision toward licensure with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals (LPC or LCSW) within 90 days of employment.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Proficiency in utilizing software tools for assessments and program enrollment
  • Ability to manage service request authorizations for insurance companies
  • Must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior management experience in a clinical setting
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Personally perform and supervise a dedicated team focused on conducting comprehensive mental status evaluations and client assessments
  • Develop tailored service plans
  • Ensure seamless connections to essential service providers
  • Guide staff through complex cases
  • Oversee the monitoring and documentation of client progress
  • Oversee crisis intervention
  • Oversee client advocacy
  • Engage in developing individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate discharge planning, ensuring clients receive the after-care they need
  • Train and orient new team members
  • Coordinate strategies that align with divisional objectives
  • Collaborate with various community partners, including law enforcement and healthcare providers
  • Contribute to policy improvement and resource management
