About The Position

Standard Iron is seeking entry-level Assembly Workers for their metal fabrication operations. This role is responsible for assembling, fitting, and finishing metal components and products according to specifications, blueprints, and safety standards. The job involves using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to produce high-quality fabricated metal parts. Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and tools
Ability to read measuring instruments such as tape measures and calipers
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of hand and power tools
Basic blueprint reading skills
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Comfortable working in a production or shop environment
Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or metal fabrication is a plus

Responsibilities

Assemble metal parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and fastening equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Measure, cut, and align metal pieces to meet specifications
Operate basic fabrication equipment such as drill presses, grinders, and saws
Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet company and customer standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Assist with loading/unloading materials and finished products
Report defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors
Support team members to meet production goals and deadlines
