About The Position

This position is responsible for assembling high-speed motor, generator turbomachinery equipment, and power electronics, including the Variable Speed Drive (VSD) and Brake Resistor, to support operation of a Turboexpander Generator. This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where teamwork, reliability, safety, and attention to detail are essential to success.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years electrical manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Ability to manage time and work well under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with variable frequency drives.
  • 2 years soldering experience.
  • Experience with RS-232/485 communication and MODBUS protocols.
  • Experience with AC-DC conversion equipment and motor drives.
  • Experience in a clean energy company.
  • Experience working in a small to mid-size company where individual efforts are impactful.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble high precision motor, generator and turbo machinery equipment components and systems.
  • Execute test operations with engineering instruction and document results.
  • Route wires, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components.
  • Follow assembly instructions, prints, and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences.
  • Read schematics and drawings of electrical systems.
  • Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures.
  • Manufacture custom wiring harnesses to fit equipment.
  • Conduct functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harnesses and plugs.
  • Wire and terminate components such as relays, circuit breakers, connectors, switches, buss panels and reconnection boards.
  • Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
  • Fabricate, form, and assemble parts using drills, calipers, micrometers, height gages, cutters, and saws.
  • Use hand and power tools, forklifts, and cranes.
  • Provide field support for commissioning and troubleshooting as required.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company safety policy.
