About The Position

BCES Global is seeking an Electrical Assembly & Test Technician to join their fabrication and technical solutions team. This role involves building high-quality electrical equipment for critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience as an electrician, electrical technician, or in panel building, industrial controls, automation, or electrical testing. This is an opportunity to work on custom-engineered solutions and grow technical expertise within an experienced team.

Requirements

309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician License (or registered apprentice)
Electrical Engineering Technician or Technologist diploma or Automation Technician diploma
Experience building and assembling electrical panels
Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems
Experienced with control wiring, motor controls, PLCs and automation systems
Strong proficiency reading electrical schematics and blueprints
Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and testing, including test operation equipment

Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
PLC troubleshooting
Data centre power systems
CSA-certified equipment manufacturing
Primary injection testing

Responsibilities

Building and wiring custom electrical equipment including distribution panels, control panels, power distribution units (PDUs), remote power panels (RPPs), and automation systems.
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
Installing and terminating power and control wiring, relays, PLC components, sensors, power supplies, and communication devices.
Performing point-to-point verification, functional testing, and troubleshooting of completed assemblies.
Supporting commissioning, startup, and occasional field service activities at customer sites.
Working closely with engineering and fabrication teams to improve products and manufacturing processes.
Completing quality inspections, testing documentation, and production records.
Maintaining a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.
