About The Position

The Assembly Technician operates various manufacturing machines and performs a range of manufacturing assignments. The role involves building custom products while standing at a well-lit workbench. After reviewing an order request, blueprints, and instructions, the technician uses hand tools and power tools to complete the order efficiently and to quality standards. The technician must be able to read and interpret basic blueprints, setup instructions, and inspection instructions.

Requirements

Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Overtime is required from time to time.
Excellent communication skills.
High school diploma or GED.
Basic blueprint-reading skills.
Basic computer skills.
Willingness to work in a team environment.
Ability to complete forms neatly and accurately.

Responsibilities

Safely operate and maintain various tools and machinery.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts aimed at increasing production rates and lowering scrap volumes within the work area.
Apply basic machine shop mathematics and blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
Keep the work area clean and well organized.
Work with minimal supervision and direction.
Follow simple drawings, process sheets, inspection or customer specifications, and supervisor instructions.
Operate machines or tooling as required and trained.
Assemble boxes or containers for packaging parts, including packing, weight counting, and labeling.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
