About The Position

The individual will work as a Custom Assembly Group Technician assembling, converting, and repairing mechanical and fluid power components to customer requirements and engineering drawings. The technician must be versatile to work with various shop tools, machinery, and warehouse software while collaborating with engineering and shop teams. The individual will ensure high quality standards, accurate assembly, and a clean, safe work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Basic PC literacy is required.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and operate basic shop machinery is required.
  • Ability to move and lift materials up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, or crawl for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Fluid Power (CFP) Mechanic Certification would be an asset.
  • 2–3 years of industry-related experience or 3–5 years of experience in a mechanical environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of basic fluid power theory and ability to read engineering drawings is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assembly, conversion, and repair of custom units and components per BOMs and engineering drawings.
  • Operation of basic shop tools and equipment, including drill presses, saws, lathes, and testing equipment.
  • Processing job material and conversion orders using warehouse management software.
  • Inspection of materials and immediate reporting of BOM or product quality discrepancies to management.
  • Maintenance of a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA requirements.
  • Maintenance of logs, records, and departmental documentation.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned or requested.
