About The Position

The Marine Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly, inspection, testing, and completion of small, medium, and large mechanical and electromechanical assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements. Requirements

  • Ability to work well with teammates, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • A mechanical aptitude and understanding of assembly processes.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and inspection instruments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three months’ experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, bills of material, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Assemble complex mechanical and electromechanical products according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform fitting, alignment, fastening, adjustment, and final assembly operations.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Perform deburring, cleaning, painting, marking, labeling, and finishing operations.
  • Safely move and position materials, components, and assemblies.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment following required training and certification.
  • Complete production paperwork, inspection reports, and quality records.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and company software systems as required.
